What is softwashing?
Softwashing is the process of cleaning exterior surfaces to remove them of organic growth such as algae and lychen using zero pressure cleaning solutions applied through specialist equipment. The process is a safer alternative to more high pressure cleaning methods which may be too aggressive for more delicate surfaces such as renders, slate or some stone.
How is it done?
Special low pressure nozzles are used on a telescopic lance which sprays the surface evenly with a biodegradable chemical mixed at a safe & sufficient level for treating the affected surface areas.
Each surface to be cleaned has to be assessed to determine the type of biological growths to the surface affected to determine the best treatment. Once assess we prepare a personalised batch of cleaning solution to best treat your surface, this can be spray applied or in some cases a soft bristled brush may be used to agitate the surface. Regardless of method used, we guarantee satisfaction and a safe effective clean.
